Winter season is just around the corner, and it brings with it a plethora of issues for us girls who want to stay hydrated, moisturized and cosy during the Winter months.
We've collated a list of our Winter must-have products to face the chilly season.
A luscious lip balm
I don't know about you, but myself personally, I struggle with chapped lips all Winter long if I don't have a thick, delicious lip balm to slather on as my heart pleases.
My personal choice this year is the ever-popular Summer Friday's Lip Butter. Thick, hydrating, and it comes in a variety of shades to please everyone, this lip balm has a lot going for it.
An indulgent body moisturizer
Again, back to the dry skin issue. There's nothing worse than Winter skin, if not properly moisturized.
In Winter we love to cover ourselves from head to toe in a delicious body moisturizer after a hot bath or shower. Nothing better than this after a long day, truly elite.
Our fave choice at the moment is the Soap & Glory brand from Mecca. The body butters in a tub are particularly thick, and they all smell absolutely divine.
An extra-thick bath robe
A cosy bath robe for Winter is a must. When the temperature gets low, there's nothing better than snuggling into a soft, plushy bath robe in the evening as you work through your beauty routine. It really is these simple pleasures that makes our life so blissful as girls.
Our personal choice this year is our very own Hommey bath robes. These robes are to die for. They're extra-thick, really comfy, and come in the cutest range of colours. We're absolutely swooning for them!
A delicious scented candle for the season
We have a tradition in our household – we buy a new scented candle for each Winter season. The individual scent signifies the scent of that Autumn/Winter season for the year.
It's a fun, lovely way to welcome in the cold season with a little treat for the home.
Our personal choice this year is actually a Glasshouse candle, which we don't personally stock, but is stocked all over the country. The limited edition Country Couture candle is what caught our attention this year. The candle's top notes start with a delicious citrusy floral combo and end with a musky vanilla. It is absolutely divine.
A good cosy throw
We don't know about you guys, but personally we end up dragging our emotional support Winter blanket throughout the entire house all Winter season. Which means we need a really good blanket to get us through the season.
Our personal favourite over the past year has been the Hommey oversized throw that we stock (because we LOVE them!). It's oversized, really warm, and has this teddy-like texture to it that means it always looks super cosy and inviting.
A book to sink your teeth into
There's something about reading in the colder months that makes it so much more enjoyable and appealing. Snuggling up with a book, a throw, a scented candle going, and a lovely tisane tea to us is the peak of living (appreciate how boring this makes our life sound).
While we don't have specific book suggestions (that's such a personal taste choice), we can recommend good book shops! We've always loved Unity Books variety of book options, and you might too.
A thick sheet mask
And for the final (but ever so important!) thing we love to have on hand for the Winter months, a sheet mask. A thick, hydrating one ideally.
We love the Mecca Max branded ones. They're a jelly like texture and do wonders for our skin.
